"Fifth one."

He glanced at her nervously as the men around him continued to shout their bets. Lyn gestured impatiently that he should place his bet, he hesitated a little, after all. This was his money, all of it.

But what could he do? He placed the money on the table and leaned back as the banker passed him a receipt. It was amazing, even in the midst of war, this kind of things still existed. Of course, with discouragement from the Resistance, however, surprisingly, it still existed.


He sighed and looked at Lyn. At the girl which he loved so much. He shook his head silently, out of Lyn's line of sight. However, she was paying attention to the table which the banker was rolling the dice. He would never see his money again, he convinced himself.


"Pass me the receipt."



"What?" he looked up, jerked out of his thoughts. But she had already snatched the piece of paper and slid into the crowd. Moments later, she reappeared, holding a stack of money. "Time to go." without any further explanation, she dragged his hand.

They slowly moved along the sewers, she taking the less known routes. After many crawls and falls, she finally paused. "I think they will not follow us to here."

"Who?"

She passed him a scathing look which made him regret what he said, "Didn't you notice? We won 200 dollars in one bet? They had men around you and me. Were trying to follow too, if you hadn't taken your time, we would have lost them eariler." she shook her head, "Here, the money. You would make a lousy Tracker, Fin." as she said the last word, she leaned forward to place a kiss upon his cheeks.

He could only look at her, surprised.

"Thank you for following without any questions." she smiled then continued in a louder voice, "I expect to be treated with that stac of money you hold in your hands."

"Yeah.. Of course, wait. Where are you going?"

"Home," she said turning around to smile slightly, "where else?"
